New Green Life activities

So last week Green Life group started working in 3 different schools with school children..while others started basic spanish lessons, some of us worked with children at Palatul copiilor municipiul here in Ramnicu valcea.

We noticed that a number of the school kids expressed great interest in learning english but did not have anyone to practice it with. So we took up the task and socialized with the kids using english...it was a great experience for both the kids and us.

We urge all parents and family members to help their kids improve their english skills through practice in any way they can as this is something they are interested in when they come to school. Thank you.

European Day of Languages

On Friday 26th of September we celebrated the European Day of Languages. During the morning, a group of volunteers went to visit the streets of Ramnicu Valce to talk and interview some of the residents, and inviting them to participate on some activities we planned. The activities were related with the day we were celebrting, so we wrote some words in different languages and the idea of the game was to ask people if they knew the rumanian meaning of those words. We also took pictures with the locals and used ballons that had the name of our countries written on it to get people`s attention.

We had a lot of fun and we also took pictures with them. Here they are:

Identifying Garbage Littered Areas of the Park

Hi Everyone!

On the 30th oj June, Firstly we identified garbage littered areas of the Cozia National Park as Green Life Team so we have tried to explore a port of the Cozia Natioanl Park.

After then we went to Turnu Monastery which is part of Cozia National Park. We have seen a few caves which monks stayed in more than 200 years ago before the monastery was built.

We also visited the Arutela Castle. This castle was used for defence by the Romans during war.

Finally we visited the Sfânta Mănăstire Cozia that is the biggest monastery in National Cozia Park. This monastery was built almost 700 years ago.

See you later! :)
