About us

“Green Life” is a follow up of another EVS project, which was concluded in April 2013. Is a project which will be implemented by 7 youth organizations active in the domain of environment protection end environmental education, with expertise in working in national natural parks.

OBJECTIVES

- Improving and acquiring new competences by 12 volunteers, in the field of environment

protection

- Combating poverty and marginalization among Roma communities by involving volunteers in solving some environmental issues

- Promoting the volunteerism among the local communities of the promoters.

- Promoting the active citizenship of the 12 volunteers from Argentina, China, France, Spain, Turkey and Zambia by their involvement in all project stages

- Establishing of an Europe-Asia-Africa-South America network of organizations which will

offer a exchange of good practices for voluntary activities in natural parks.

THEMES OF THE PROJECT

The poject themes are “Roma communities” and “Environment”. The project aims to promote ecological education and environmental protection among 8 local rural communities in the region of South-West Oltenia. 

These activities will be achieved by the initiation of greening and conservation campaigns of the various hiking trails in the National Park Cozia, re-marking hiking trails in the National Park Cozia and introducing them in the mountain circuit, through workshops for environmental education organized in 10 schools from Valcea. 

There will be organized seminars and debates related to environmental issues and the climate change. Thus, the project will encourage the permanent development of skills and "green" behaviors among volunteers and young people from the local communities. 

It will be initiated also a media campaign to promote behaviors of protect the environment, the ecological education and the fight against poverty and marginalization.
